Obama to invest billions in stem cell research
Barack Obama, the new president of the United States of America, along with promises about ending the war in Iraq and many other things, he also promised to invest billions of dollars in stem cell research. This is amazing news, since the US Government under the leadership of Bush didn’t really spend much on this kind of research.
We all know that discoveries in the field of stem cells are huge — and could save millions of lives all over the world. It is of huge importance that the US government realized that this field is the right way to go.
Cerebral palsy, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, cancer, blood diseases. A cure for all these diseases could be found through researching stem cells. That’s why I have to say that I’m glad that Obama won. I hope (and I believe) that he will keep his promise.

Dec 24, 2008 - 10:12:31I just wish he will stick to his word and go forward to funding stem cell research. I have a son with CP and cannot wait for something to come along to cure him. Stem Cell treatments is my only hope.
